Consumer apps need a new growth layer

Consumer apps need a new growth layer.
The economics that carried the last decade are shifting underneath the category. Paid acquisition is getting more expensive — auctions are more competitive, signal is noisier, and payback windows are stretching. The channels where users actually discover apps are moving, fragmenting across new surfaces faster than most growth teams can re-tool for. And the things that most directly determine revenue — paywalls and pricing — are still tested too slowly, often a few times a year, because every test means coordinating across half a dozen disconnected tools.
Underneath all of it, the user journey is fragmented across too many systems that were never designed to talk to each other. The result is that the highest-leverage decisions in a consumer app — who to acquire, what to show, when to ask for money, how much to charge — are made with partial information and shipped on a slow cycle.
FloKit.AI is building agentic growth infrastructure for consumer apps — helping teams connect discovery, funnels, conversion, monetization, and optimization into one adaptive system. Agentic, because the goal is not another dashboard to read; it is a system that proposes the next experiment, runs it inside guardrails you set, learns from the result, and feeds that learning back across the whole journey. The operator stays in control. The agent brings the moves.
A growth layer like this changes the cadence of the work. Instead of quarterly paywall tests, continuous ones. Instead of acquisition and monetization optimizing in separate rooms, a single loop where each informs the other. Instead of partial signal, a shared view of the user from first touch to renewal.
We are starting with consumer subscription apps, where small improvements in activation, conversion, and retention can create major revenue impact. Subscriptions compound: a few points of activation lift the base that conversion acts on, conversion lifts the base that retention compounds, and retention is what turns a single payment into lifetime value. Get the loop turning and the gains stack on top of each other.
This is the layer we think consumer apps have been missing — not one more category in the stack, but the connective system the stack has always lacked. More soon.
